  • Inspecting the performance of trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment.
  • Using computerized testing equipment to diagnose flaws.
  • Adjusting and replacing defective parts, repairing broken equipment parts
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing routine maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles
  • Cleaning and maintenance of machine attachments such as winches, blades, and side booms
  • When necessary, perform significant repair work.
  • Notifying management of damaged or faulty equipment.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
  • To determine the repair required, use computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose defects or malfunctions.
  • Adjust the equipment and repair or replace any broken parts.
  • Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and that work meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Work on heavy trucks to repair them.
  • Working tools and service attachments
  • Emission control systems must be tested and repaired.


Requirements

  • GED or high school diploma
  • Heavy equipment mechanic certification.
  • Work experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic is required.
  • Knowledge of computer testing technologies.
  • Possibility of lifting heavy machinery.
  • Expertise in diesel engines and construction equipment.
  • Ability to work after hours if necessary.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
