Our client based in Niagara Falls, Ontario, has worked on notable projects throughout Ontario, across Canada and into New York State. They have increased their portfolio to include private and public housing; industrial, offices and retail units; schools, churches and public buildings and handles project scope from refurbishment to design build for new developments.


With an exciting new project award of a large mid rise development in St Catherines Ontario, we are hiring a Project Coordinator to support this project team.

Job Summary

Provide effective administration of projects to deliver coordination activities in an organized manner in order to meet or exceed the client’s objectives of costs, quality, time and safety. Perform all functions and responsibilities in accordance with our client’s values and beliefs.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of administrative duties through all phases of our projects, from start-up through construction and close-out
  • Issue contracts and purchase orders, share and log with a high level of accuracy and within required timeframes
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client, consultants, architects and project team
  • Review field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Assist with accurate project information including the execution of overall work plan and schedule
  • Assist the PM to review and process shop drawings, assemble and prepare documents of a complex nature, i.e. RFIs, Deficiencies, Estimates
  • Prepare invoices or progress draws as directed
  • Assist the PM to draft pricing and/or cost estimates for Site Instructions, Work Orders, Change Notices
  • Assist construction projects including liaison and follow-up with Architects, Consulting Engineers, and Subcontractors
  • Draft Agendas, attend and minute job site, subcontractor and safety meetings
  • Identify long lead material orders to ensure orders are placed in a timely manner
  • Assist with maintenance of project files and preparation of reports
  • Provide document turnover at completion of project - project close-out documentation, including as-built drawings, manuals, warranties, building permits etc.
  • Provide other duties as requested and required





Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in construction related discipline
  • 5 years of experience in construction
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience of condo construction in Ontario
