JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Engineering Manager - Tritium Removal Facility.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Performance Engineering, the Engineering Manager - Tritium Removal Facility is focused on Equipment Reliability and is responsible for providing technical and consultative services, technical advice and guidance, technical specifications, product expertise and related services to station/facility personnel, management and other interested parties.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Providing technical and consultative services, problem solving, technical advice and guidance, technical specifications, product expertise and related services to station/facility
personnel, management and other interested parties including regulatory agencies.
• Monitor and assess system and equipment performance to meet business unit goals related to safety, production, and the environment.
• Plant reliability planning and strategy. Develop maintenance strategies, optimize use of preventive and predictive maintenance. Propose and support capital projects,
Equipment life cycle management assessments and implementation.
• Interface with cross-functional departments on procurement, design, safety analysis, or work planning to complete above activities.
• Understanding of design and operational requirements for some or all of the following: process piping, process instrumentation and electrical systems, process computer
systems, mechanical rotating equipment, distillation processes, and cryogenic processes.
• Oversee technical deliverables of staff and ensure that engineering products meet internal procedural requirements and external codes and standards.
• Establish clear and effective working relationships with direct team and cross-functional departments such as design engineering, maintenance, and operations.
• Provide meaningful input to the business plan and formulation of department work programs and tasks.
• Act as a coach and facilitator to create and sustain a supportive, team environment, actively working with staff to empower them to attain optimal work performance with a high
level of personal responsibility and self-management.
• Demonstrate openness and trust through the sharing of information and through establishing two-way team relationships, holding regular meetings with all immediate
subordinates to discuss various subjects, including, safety, work plans and scope, problems, individual development training, and suggestions for improvement.
• Provide a work environment that is conducive to employee well being, diversity, and ensuring harassment-free environment.
• Seek to improve work processes, cultivating an awareness of organizational changes that impact on the need to adapt methods and operations.
• Provide assurance that activities are implemented at minimum cost within budgetary limitations. Ensure management systems are in place to meet all due diligence
requirements and are effectively managed on a continuing basis.
• Continually assess and maintain Ontario Power Generation and Nuclear-specific governing documents, including policies, standards and procedures, in compliance with
regulatory requirements.
• Other Duties as Required.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Preferably Chemical or Process Engineering)
• Minimum of 5 years' industry experience as a Technical Engineer (preferably in chemical, cryogenic, manufacturing, oil/gas, petroleum, energy sectors).
• Possess at least 1-2 years of people leadership experience in a manager, team lead or supervisor capacity.
• Excellent communication and leadership are essential. Must be able to provide oversight to a small team of technical staff effectively, provide guidance and foster collaboration.
• Possess great analytical skills, ability to conduct analysis on equipment performance.
• Relationship building skills is needed, must be able to build trusting work relationships with direct team as well as cross-functional partners.
• Strong planning and project background experience.
• Candidate must be a fully licensed engineer in the province of Ontario, or be eligible to be licensed in the Province of Ontario

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
