Reporting to the HR Manager for Saint John New Brunswick, the Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for providing HR support to the Sawmills and Woodlands Head Office team.

Responsibilities
- Deliver on Human Resources processes and business results
- Deliver all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) such as employee development, hiring, retention, career development, employee engagement, and performance management
- Be a key business partner with Leadership teams, by providing guidance and support to leadership and employees on policies, procedures, and processes
- Maintain employee lifecycle documentation and data integrity in the HR Information System
- Prepare and deliver employee communication, presentations and correspondence
- Compile and deliver human resources reporting and analysis, and recommend associated actions
- Support recruitment efforts, including interviewing, selection and offers for the assigned employee groups.
- Assist hiring managers with the employee onboarding process including design, coordination and follow up
- Primary liaison with our Payroll and Benefits, and Human Resources Shared Services Team
- Act as key contact for the HR Operations team, receiving inquiries and requests and troubleshooting to find a solution
- Participate in and/or lead specific projects or initiatives in support of the people strategy as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- 2-5 years' experience in delivering Human Resources services or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- A keen eye for detail and demonstrating a high sense of urgency in delivering high quality customer service
- Customer service focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) internally, with all levels of the organization and externally, with candidates and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
- Willing to travel (as needed)
- Knowledge of New Brunswick and Canadian employment standards
- HR certification would be considered an asset
