Join our dynamic, diverse team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler as the Full-Time Overnight Demi Chef de Partie.
Work on a team that is built on mutual respect, collaboration, excellent service and a passion for food and wine. The Overnight Demi Chef de Partie reports to the Executive Chef. We are looking for an energetic, hospitality professional with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, have a passion for service and people, and past culinary experience. Applicants will be a willing team player, comfortable with standards of service, and will be willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote team work. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Hourly wage: $27.00 - $33.00
What you will do
Prepare food items according to orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards; complete mis en place and set-up station for breakfast, Prep for lunch, and/or dinner service.
Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not prepare beyond estimated need and Hygiene standards are been followed
Operate, maintain and assist stewarding team to properly clean kitchen equipment, including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill.
Date all food containers and rotate as per policies, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures; check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up; note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages; return all food items not used to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables; assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems; control food waste, loss and usage per policies.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, supervisors and Night Manager to assist the team, guests' needs and last-minute request and empower to take decisions when needed
Prepare late night orders in Braidwood restaurant and IRD for our guest
Prepare Meals for Overnight staff
Prepare Mis en Place for Kitchen team
Set up station for Breakfast buffet when needed
Assist breakfast and Braidwood Kitchen team as needed in operation
What you bring
Culinary education is strongly preferred
Previous overnight kitchen experience preferred
At least 2 years culinary experience in a similar role
Passion for food
Strong command of the English language
Excellent commitment to service and teamwork
Ability to work in Canada

Schedule & Hours:
As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect our Overnight Demi Chef de Partie to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
