We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator with a strong passion for recruiting and talent acquisition to help grow our team during this exciting stage of expansion! In this role, you will report to the Director of People Operations, with a primary focus on recruitment. Approximately 80% of this role will be dedicated to owning the full recruitment cycle, while the remaining 20% will involve providing HR support and contributing to key HR initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about expanding their skills in full-cycle recruiting and advancing their career in Talent Acquisition, all while gaining practical experience in a dynamic, fast-paced HR setting.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    • Owning all stages of the recruitment cycle, from writing job descriptions to drafting employment agreements.
    • Partnering with hiring managers to understand job requirements and assist with hiring needs
    • Maintaining recruitment tools, systems, and documentation accurately. Currently, we use Lever and LinkedIn Recruiter, familiarity with either would be a plus!
    • Creating engaging LinkedIn posts to promote job openings externally, and communicating open roles internally.
    • Assisting with outbound candidate sourcing and building strong talent pipelines.
    • Providing an exceptional candidate experience, building meaningful relationships, and acting as a strong ambassador for LumiQ.
    • Assisting in improving LumiQ’s recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, response rates, interview success rates, etc.).
    • Owning the onboarding experience to ensure new hires integrate smoothly, including coordinating schedules and facilitating their first days at the company.
    • Managing Technical Setup & Hardware Management, such as Setting up user accounts, managing mobile device management (MDM), and handling the procurement and distribution of necessary hardware.
    • Collaborating with the HR team to enhance employer branding, improve career page content, and increase online presence.
    • Helping organize employee engagement events, including wellness, learning, team building, and collaboration activities.
    • Supporting benefits enrolment and changes
    • Assisting in maintaining employee records and data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Maintaining an organized, well-equipped office space to enhance employee experience and productivity.

WHO YOU ARE:

    • 1-2 years of experience recruiting & HR in a fast-paced environment or equivalent school experience.
    • Eager to learn and grow your HR career.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment where you are willing to be a self-starter and take initiative. 
    • Able to balance shifting priorities and strong willingness to adapt.
    • Have good communication skills and be able to build positive relationships within a cross-functional team.
    • Attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are a must.
    • Enjoys working with others and organizing events for the team.

Please note this is a flexible hybrid role based out of Toronto, Canada. Employees will be expected to be able to commute to the office 2 times a week. However, for training & onboarding purposes, the in-office expectation time will increase.
