This position will run from approximately September to December for approximately 35 hours per week. The wage of this position is $19.64 per hour. It is a hybrid work-location role working at the Conestoga College Waterloo Campus..

  • Design, development, and/or testing activities to support the creation an augmented/virtual reality platform that can be easily extended/modified to support a range of demo projects in support of ongoing Applied Research objectives at Conestoga College
  • Additional activities will include assisting in gathering requirements, agile software development and software quality testing for the project and research activities as required


Requirements


  • Application software design, development and troubleshooting using Microsoft technologies (e.g. Visual Studio on Win10 64bit)
  • Development experience in C++, C#, Unity3D
  • Familiarity with audio and graphical asset management in Unity3D
  • Track record of quickly adapting to new software technologies
  • Good communications skills; Collaborative approach to work
  • Familiarity with Agile software development and working to a weekly schedule with minimal supervision an asset.
  • Previous experience in the fields of education/training, healthcare or industrial manufacturing an asset

STUDENT ELIGIBILITY

All Student Applicants must:

- Be in a full-time degree, diploma, or certificate program

- Maintain a full-time course load. Students on a reduced course load may be eligible if they are registered with Accessibility Services

- Maintain satisfactory academic progress – passing 60% of courses and actively progressing through the program

- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)

 
Domestic Students Must:

- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person

- Be eligible for OSAP, or another province’s student financial assistance program

OR

  Complete the Work Study Eligibility Application, and demonstrate financial need

 
International Students Must:

- Hold a valid Canadian study permit that allows on-campus employment

- Adhere to all requirements stated on their study permit

- Adhere to all Canadian student visa requirements
