Job Description

Our client requires a Business Intelligence Analyst and Developer to be part of the project team to contribute to the delivery of Corporate Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence projects. The successful candidate will have experience in design and development of data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.

Experience sought: DW/BI solution design and development, knowledge and experience with star schema and dimensional modeling, data warehouse and ETL tools such as MS SSIS/SSAS/SSRS, business intelligence tools such as MS SSRS, IBM Cognos, SQL server, TFS experience desirable.

Qualifications

Required skills

-Experience working in a data warehouse/Business Intelligence environment in a development or support role.
-Experience with relational database modeling techniques.
-Experience with star schema and dimensional modeling techniques.
-Experience with SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Analytical Services (SSAS)
-Experience in designing, developing and maintaining Cognos reports in Cognos 8 Report Studio or Analysis Studio
-Experience dealing directly with clients.
-Experience working in a Windows operating system environment.
-Experience with Business Intelligence solution requirements gathering
-Experience in facilitating business workshops

Desirable skills

-Experience in developing or facilitating the development of an enterprise Business Intelligence strategy
-Experience in Business Intelligence environment architectural design and development
-Experience with Microsoft SharePoint development and SharePoint Web Parts
-Experience in information product design and development, capturing business and technical metadata
-Experience with end user training in the use of Business Intelligence solutions
-Experience creating process models
-Experience with MapInfo Geographical Information System or other equivalents
