Position Overview:

As a Chef de Partie at Queen’s Harbour, you play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of every dish that leaves the kitchen. You will oversee the kitchen, leading a team of cooks while executing our MediterrAsian-inspired menu to the highest standards. This is an opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, leadership skills, and creativity while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead: Manage the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest standard.
  • Prepare Exceptional Dishes: Execute recipes with precision while maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation while following the company’s standards. 
  • Oversee Food Specs: Ensure proper mise en place and ingredient preparation to maintain smooth service during peak hours.
  • Maintain Cleanliness and Organization: Adhere to all sanitation and safety standards, keeping your workstation organized and hygienic.
  • Train & Mentor: Guide and support junior kitchen staff, fostering a learning environment that promotes growth and skill development.
  • Monitor Inventory & Waste: Assist in stock control, minimize waste, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
  • Support Kitchen Operations: Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to streamline kitchen workflow and maintain efficiency.
  • Uphold Quality Standards: Ensure every dish aligns with Queen’s Harbour’s commitment to excellence in taste, presentation, and portioning.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in the hospitality industry or similar environment.
  • Culinary diploma preferred 
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
  • Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work well under pressure.
