*The position will be based on a major construction project in Ottawa.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Design Manager in managing electrical design;
- Participate in design meetings with consultants;
- Coordinate customer requests in cooperation with the Design Manager;
- Identifies critical components and ensures accurate resource to meet project goals;
- Monitor procurement schedule to ensure timely delivery within project requirements, revises and communicates schedule changes to stay on course;
- Provide assistant in reviewing the electrical scope during proposal and bids;
- Participate in the elaboration of various options;
- Contribute to the preparation of the monthly reports.
Requirements
Requirements
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Electrical Coordination, preferably in the Construction industry;
- Bilingual (an asset), but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required;
- Secret-level security;
- Proficient in MS Office and MS Project software;
- Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, estimating, drawings and specifications, building material and required standards applicable to discipline.
