About DashQ

At DashQ, our mission is simple yet powerful: to make renting better for everyone. We’re transforming the way people find, secure, and connect with rental housing, making the process as seamless as booking a hotel. By moving beyond the idea of housing as just a commodity, we’re creating deeply connected communities where renters and landlords thrive.

In the past year, DashQ launched Checkout, the first e-commerce-like leasing experience, launched a mobile app, and partnered with some of North America’s largest property owners. These milestones have positioned us as a leader in rental technology, but we’re just getting started. Housing supply challenges are more critical than ever, and the rental process is still plagued by inefficiencies. Tackling these head-on requires cutting-edge technology, bold ideas, and people ready to make a real difference.

If you’re someone who values curiosity, candor, and building systems that truly make a difference, DashQ is exactly where you belong.

About the Role

As the Finance Operations Manager at DashQ, you’ll play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly. You’ll manage invoicing, cash flow, and budgets while ensuring smooth month-end reporting. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who thrives on financial structure and process improvement.

You'll work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate financial processes, track actuals against projections, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. You'll also be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations, managing payroll and benefits, and working with our vCFO on forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Operations Management: Oversee and improve day-to-day financial processes with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls. Leverage our bookkeeper to support workflows, implement best practices, and identify opportunities to automate or simplify recurring tasks.
  • Invoicing and Accounts Management: Lead client invoicing and A/R processes, ensuring timely, accurate billing and strong follow-through on outstanding payments. Work closely with clients and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain smooth financial communication.
  • Subscription and Vendor Management: Monitor all company subscriptions and vendor relationships, identifying opportunities to consolidate tools, reduce costs, and negotiate better terms.
  • Payroll Administration: Manage payroll and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. Collaborate with HR and external providers to maintain accurate records and ensure timely remittances.
  • Budgeting & Forecast Support: Own budget management and cash flow tracking. Work with department leads on spend planning and collaborate with the vCFO to align on forecasting and financial goals.
  • Month-End & Reporting: Own the month-end close process - reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies, and delivering clear reports that align with budget expectations and business needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in finance operations, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where you've had to adapt, prioritize, and take ownership. Experience in SaaS or prop-tech is a bonus.
  • You’re fluent in QuickBooks Online and comfortable navigating a range of financial systems to keep things organized and efficient. Familiarity with Yardi, BrokerWolf / BackOffice / LoneWolf, or Float is a plus.
  • You’re energized by solving problems, staying organized, and having a clear impact on how a business runs.
  • You’re someone who looks for better ways to do things - whether that’s improving workflows, tightening internal controls, or helping others understand the financial side of their work.
  • You’re comfortable working with external accountants and have supported tax filings, financial reviews, and payroll compliance.
  • You communicate with clarity and candor, especially when it comes to simplifying finance for non-finance folks. You collaborate well and can balance focus work with cross-functional support.
  • This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • As part of the application process, you’ll be asked to submit a short video once you click “Apply.” Please be prepared to answer the following questions in video format:
    • What should the DashQ team know about you?
    • Why do you believe you and DashQ are a great fit?
    • What is your professional superpower, and why?

Benefits

In addition to the growth and impact you’ll have at DashQ, we offer competitive salaries along with the following benefits:

  • Health, Dental & Vision Benefits
  • Three weeks of paid vacation and all standard holidays
  • Professional development budget for courses and certifications
  • Weekly catered lunch
  • A collaborative, values-driven work environment with room to grow
