About The Role
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will play a key role in supporting and guiding managers through human resources management best practices and in deploying strategic solutions that will contribute to the organization’s business goals. This position will be based out of our Laval site and support both on site and remote client groups. While acting in a lead capacity, the HRBP provides consultation to managers or employees in various HR areas.
What You'll Do Here
Plan, coordinate and evaluate the execution of HR strategies and solutions within the assigned client groups.
Partner with client group senior managers and leaders to deliver strategic HR services such as workforce planning, organizational design and talent management as well as succession planning, high potential, etc.
Coach and provide guidance to mid and senior managers with respect to employee relations. Managing complex employee relations situations and off boarding while upholding legal compliance.
Conduct objective, thorough and timely workplace investigations and using best practices approach in investigating conflicts, harassment claims, etc.
Manage STD, LTD and Health and Safety, Accommodation cases while upholding applicable legislations and procedures. Ensure effective liaison with all stakeholders: government agencies, providers, employee, managers, etc.
Guide managers in assigned client groups on the governance and effective application of HR policies, procedures and programs.
Support the implementation of HR programs and processes by cascading/reinforcing information, providing training and ensuring progress and compliance of implementation within client groups. Programs such as annual performance reviews, annual salary increase, promotions, integration/check-in period, employee experience and development.
Partner with various HR subject matter experts such as Compensation, OD and Training, HRIS as well as Talent Acquisition to provide effective HR solutions designed to meet the business challenges.
Ensure compliance of various compensation components, conducting analysis of compensation, evaluation of positions and working towards alignment and harmonization efforts across the organization.
Analyze metrics to provide insight into trends and propose appropriate interventions to achieve business goals and increase employee engagement, development and retention.
Act as a change agent in the delivery of human resources solutions and provide guidance to client groups during business-driven change management efforts.
Work closely with HR Partner supporting the different client groups to coordinate HR support activities, ensure cohesion and create synergy for addressing all human resource client needs.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field is preferred or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 10 years progressive HR experience or 5 years in a similar role.
CHRP certification is preferred.
Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
Good knowledge of HCM systems. Workday is a plus.
Strong spoken and written communication skills, both in French and English required as some client groups, managers, and employees work outside of the province of Quebec.
Ability to speak effectively before groups.
Ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple priorities.
Strong knowledge of provincial labor laws.
Ability to think strategically, adapting approach as needed and weighing in benefits and risks.
Highly skilled at managing organizational change.
Able to develop strong interpersonal work relationships built on trust and credibility.
