As part of our acquisition of the Musselwhite Mine, we are recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist. This is an onsite role that will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the HR department, assisting with recruitment, employee onboarding, benefits administration, record keeping and assisting employees with general inquiries with a service based approach. This role will report to the HR Superintendent and will be key to the success of the Human Resources department.
· Prepare new hire paperwork and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
· Conduct new employee orientation sessions.
· Maintain and update employee files in HR Databases & other reporting metrics while ensuring accuracy.
· Help employees with basic questions and administrative support relating to their company benefit plan and HR policies.
· Assist in organizing employee engagement events or activities.
· Handle filing, scanning and other clerical duties as required.
· Maintain a high health, safety and environmental awareness
· Adhere strictly to the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental standards
Skills and Experience:
· Diploma in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent years of related education and experience.
· Minimum 1+ year in a Human Resources related field.
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
· Demonstrated resourcefulness with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Demonstrated cultural awareness.
· The schedule is 4/3, working 10-hour days
