OPPORTUNITY TO WORK REMOTELY 3 DAYS A WEEK & 2 DAYS IN OFFICE!

Our outstanding global client, located in North Toronto is in need of a Law Clerk/Paralegal to join its team. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join an organization that is second to none! This role is a new position within the company

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide legal support to the General Counsels with a focus on drafting and negotiating contracts.

You will work closely with Canadian business clients and collaborate with other legal professionals to provide legal advice and guidance on strategic commercial transactions.

You will also support General Counsel during the request for proposal stage of client engagements including review of proposed responses.

Deal with contract issues which arise.

Develop subject matter expertise of relevant regulations in Canada.

Partner with the US and other regional legal teams to ensure agreement templates are updated and provide thoughtful leadership on approach to global negotiations.

Provide legal support on other legal matters.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • 4+ years of experience drafting and negotiating major agreements with sophisticated counter parties including lawyers, contract management or procurement personnel.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and persuasively, in both written and oral format.
  • Ability to build relationships. 
  • Self motivated, ability to prioritize among competing priorities in a fast paced environment. 
  • Strong leadership skills and strong customer focus.
