 *Salary:* $41 - $43 per hour (afternoon or night shift availability)

 

The Industrial Mechanic will be integral members of the Maintenance Team, with responsibilities tailored to meet the demands of the Production Schedule. The role will encompass:

 

- Diagnosing and repairing machinery issues, disassembling equipment to access and repair defective parts, and reassembling machinery with necessary adjustments for optimal operation.

- Removing, installing, and modifying machinery or equipment as needed.

- Utilizing blueprints, drawings, manuals, or other specifications to execute jobs correctly.

- Operating and repairing plant support machinery, including boilers, water softeners, compressors, filters, HVAC pumps, etc.

- Coordinating major repairs in collaboration with contractors and other trades when necessary.

- Troubleshooting and resolving basic electrical problems safely.

- Performing welding, soldering, brazing, and using shop machines.

- Ensuring all equipment is operated safely.

- Engaging in the training and orientation of new hires and contractors.

- Working independently to solve problems.

- Contributing to the Continuous Improvement Program.

 



Requirements

Requirements / Preferred Qualifications

- Industrial Mechanic Millwright, Certificate of Qualification 433A via an Apprenticeship program.

- Minimum 3 years experience

- Experience in troubleshooting, installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment, with hydraulic steam press experience being highly preferred.

- Ability to ensure effective communication and transition between shifts for seamless operations.

- Skilled in operational problem solving and dedicated to continuous process improvement.

- Willingness to aid in the training and development of new department members.
