As a Marketing Consultant reporting to the Senior Manager of Integrated B2B Marketing Programs, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead dynamic cross-functional teams in developing the annual marketing plan for the Individual Life Insurance and Creditor Insurance lines of business (LOB). Working closely with the dedicated LOB Specialist, you'll oversee the end-to-end development of B2B and B2B2C marketing support materials and programs, direct creative and copy development, and work to ensure seamless production and distribution functions. How you will create impact:

  • Take the lead in recommending, planning, and writing the strategy and overseeing the execution of Individual Life Insurance and Creditor Insurance omnichannel marketing communication campaigns, innovative integrated materials (email, social media, digital, promotional, etc.), and effective sales prospecting and support resources that will captivate and drive results.
  • Evaluate and map the journeys of our customers to gain insights into their expectations, pain points, key interactions, and the necessary marketing channels to align with our marketing programs.
  • Work closely with internal partners and external agencies to build/refresh essential assets including value propositions, key messaging territories, creative concepts, and personas.
  • Lead the creative development of sales enablement and external facing support materials including suggesting alternative solutions to communication, design, and production issues.
  •  Collaborate with related business units that use an intermediary distribution model to identify and leverage plan alignment and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Engage actively in the strategic planning team and cultivate robust cross-functional relationships with LOB Sales, Brand, Communications, Digital, Legal, Compliance, and others, ensuring that commitments are fulfilled and that we jointly invest in our success.
  • Craft and leverage project plans and templates, with other key LOB intersections identified, to effectively manage Life Insurance and Creditor Insurance marketing workstreams.   Additionally, analyze and report on marketing performance metrics to drive strategic decision-making and campaign success.
  • Manage and maintain set budgets allocated to the execution of marketing/sales support initiatives.

To join our team:

  • You have 5 to 7+ years of experience in a marketing communication function with a proven ability to develop and execute B2B or B2B2C marketing programs utilizing a variety of tactics and channels in the insurance and/or financial services sector.
  • You hold a degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field).
  • You have marketing skills in areas including multi-media (social media, paid digital advertising, video, website content and landing page development), industry print-publications, direct marketing, sales collaterals, sponsorships and events, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills to effectively review campaign metrics against objectives with the ability to recommend timely options for pivoting as required.
  • Skills in project management, marketing and communications strategic planning, organizing and consensus building.
  • Ability to work effectively with external agencies and suppliers to successfully manage the delivery of work on time and on budget. Having knowledge of, or previous exposure to, the print production process and web communications management is an asset.
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage through impact and influence.
