Looking to continue developing your payroll career while working in a challenging, professional and vibrant environment ?

You will be focusing on:

  • All duties related to preparation of the biweekly payroll
  • Keep employee records up to date and prepare documents required upon hiring and termination of employment
  • Update computerized pay records every two weeks
  • Balance the payroll (control account)
  • Prepare ledger entries for current pay
  • Produce various payroll reports
  • Prepare and make remittances to governments and remittances of other payroll deductions in prescribed time
  • Update various computerized records
  • Participate in the year-end process (preparation and verification of T4s and Relevés 1)
  • Keep yourself and other department/team members informed about various items likely to affect day-to-day payroll management:  new tax provisions, federal and provincial budgets, etc.
  • Answer questions in regard to payroll

What you bring to the role:

  • Diploma of Collegial Studies in Administration
  • Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) all provinces certification (or in the process of being completed)
  • Minimum of  3 years' experience in a payroll department
  • Knowledge of a computerized payroll system (Nethris knowledge a strong asset)
  • Knowledge of Workday (an asset)
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel (Power BI a strong asset)
  • Bilingual French & English
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stress related to tight deadlines
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Initiative and Autonomy
