Warehouse Assembler

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Warehouse Assemblers for an upcoming assignment in Southwestern Ontario. This position will require you to work 8 hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project.

***Please note this is a temporary contract position, so it may not be suitable to someone currently working full time***

The project is at a set location in Southwestern Ontario.

You will earn:

• $25 per hour
• Possibility of overtime
• $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
• Paid Travel (up to 4 hours when lodging required)
• Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery to meet production requirements and within quality specifications
• Ability to use a tape measure and other measuring devices.
• Cut, machine and assemble products
• Adhere to tight production deadlines
• Ability to perform quality checks using SPC process
• Ability to use hand tools
• Use various machinery in production process (training provided)
• Follow directions through both verbal and written instructions
• Housekeeping duties as required for a safe work environment
• Familiarity with Automotive environment

Skills & Qualifications:

• Warehouse Assembly Experience (1 year preferred)
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Physically able to bend, lift, stand and reach
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills
• Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
