About this opportunity

As an assistant accountant at SilverChef you will provide high-quality financial accounting services in support of month-end processes, reconciliation duties and maintaining asset registers. You will have the opportunity to work closely with many internal and external stakeholders to develop your skills across many accounting functions, including assisting with audits and financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in developing their accounting career and taking their next steps, further into the professional field.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Completion of Accounting/Commerce degree and working towards CA/CPA qualification desired.
• 1+ years’ experience in an accounting support role.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
• Sound analytical, problem solving & reconciliation skills.
• Interpersonal & written communication skills.
• Good attention to detail & sound time management skills.
• High level of computer literacy with computerised accounting packages & MS Excel.
• Team player with energy, flexibility & integrity.
