Our Client is a world-class custom cable assembly, wire harness, electro-mechanical assembly, and box build manufacturer for industries such as medical, defense, robotics, UAVs, transportation, industrial equipment, satellite and communications, nuclear and power, agriculture, forestry, and mining. The company operates from a 35,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art plant in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada.
Role Description
Sales Manager - full-time on-site role reporting to the CEO. The Sales Manager will be managing and leading the sales team and identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Some of the key areas of responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve growth objectives.
- Participate in the development of various sales programs.
- Establish and rigorously monitor performance indicators linked to sales, trends, competitive intelligence, and target business and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in the preparation of annual sales budgets and ensure that they are respected.
- Provide strategic guidance to the sales team in planning, servicing customers, and negotiating agreements.
- Accompany and coach sales representatives during visits to strategic customers and help them maximize sales opportunities.
- Prepare reports on sales performance and propose recommendations to improve results.
- Ensure proper CRM management.
- Stay in touch with the market and create an environment where customer feedback is shared quickly and accurately with the various departments.
- Train sales representatives in sales techniques and approaches, as well as in the strengths of the Client and how it benefits the customer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Sales, Business Development, and Negotiation skills.
- Leadership and Team Management skills.
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Experience with CRM software.
- Ability to travel as necessary.
