Job Description

Our client is looking for a senior level Project Manager for a permanent position. The Project Manager will manage the day to day execution of one or more projects. The Project Manager will conduct activities to plan, monitor, adjust and control the projects within constraints of budget, time, resources and technology. This ensures that the solution meets client requirements, and is delivered on time and within budget. It includes the management of development, testing, implementation and support of application software. Project Manager will report through and be supported by a Project Management Office structure.

Qualifications

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

-Preparing and executing program and/or project plans.
-Establishing and operating control processes including schedule management, status reporting, issues, risk and change management.
-Closely monitoring project activities and taking corrective action to ensure project schedules are being met.
-Assigning work and managing project team members, mentoring and providing direction as required.
-Requirements Gathering
-Producing deliverables within specified quality standards.
-Escalating issues and risks, as appropriate.
-Communicating project status and issues, as appropriate.

Requirements:

-Related degree or diploma required (e.g. Business, Program/Project Management)
-Demonstrated experience in managing large scale business transformation initiatives
-Demonstrated planning experience with business implementation
-Demonstrated program and project management skills
-Demonstrated experience in managing citizen centered initiatives as described in the Description of Services
-Stakeholder engagement and facilitation with various streams including but not limited to detailed business design, HR, IMT, Accommodations, Outcomes Performance Management, Information Sharing Strategy, etc.
-Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP, Prince2 or equivalent)
-Business Design experience (e.g. processes, service definition, policy, etc.)
-Experience with resource planning
-Proven ability to function at senior levels of an organization
-Experience with budget management, financial management and reporting
-Experience with procurement and contract management
-Analytical and problem solving skills in planning, and designing creative solutions to meet customer needs
-Experience working on multiple concurrent projects in a rapidly evolving environment; able to be flexible and creative in response to changing requirements and priorities
-Experience in the development of business cases for a wide variety of initiatives and projects (strategic, business improvement, information technology, etc.)
-Experience conducting, facilitating and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple alternatives
